liblingua-pt-stemmer-perl software package provides Portuguese language stemming, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblingua-pt-stemmer-perl
liblingua-pt-stemmer-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblingua-pt-stemmer-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblingua-pt-stemmer-perl *
You will get with liblingua-pt-stemmer-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
